SurveyMonkey Apply

I redesigned an acquired webapp called FluidReview from the ground up to fit into the SurveyMonkey brand. The redesign included everything from user research, design thinking exercises, client interviews and surveys, a revamped information architecture, tons of wireframing and high fidelity design. I then switched to front-end development nearing the launch date to help the team get this project launched, polished and ready to onboard the first set of beta users. Apply is still serving customers today and bringing in millions in revenue to the company. Learn more about Apply

Wireframing

The redesign included user research, a new IA, and tons of wireframes mapping out the admin, applicant and review workflows. Seen below are two examples of the admin workflow builder and the applicant portal appearance designer. A highlight of this project was when we printed out hundreds of wireframes of the full experience and posted them up on a very long wall for anyone to give feedback in post-it note form.

The admin experience

Admins configure multi-stage application and review workflows, edit stage settings, customize the style of the applicant-facing portal, and oversee all applications and reviewer assessments.

The applicant experience

Applicants submit grant applications, complete and manage their submission tasks, and view real-time feedback and reviews.

Responsive applicant experience

The applicant interface is fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices, allowing users to browse programs, fill out application forms and submit their applications seamlessly on any device.
